Façade Restoration
Substrates:
Water-based, Kynar Aquatec® PVDF resin-based coatings can be applied to a myriad of substrates including: metals, plastics, wood, concrete, masonry, fiber cement, stucco, textiles, and previously painted surfaces.
Application Technques:
Kynar Aquatec® coatings can be sprayed with HVLP or airless spray equipment. They can be brush applied with a nylon/polester brush or rolled with a 3/8" - 3/4" nap cover. Since Kynar Aquatec® PVDF resin-based coatings are water-based and low in VOC's, occupants of the building are not subjected to the typical odors of a solvent-based coating.
Available Colors:
Our licensees manufacture the final coatings. These talented licensees have a wide range of colors available and often can color-match your needed shade. Since Kynar Aquatec® PVDF resin-based coatings do not require heat-curing, a wide range of pigments are available.
Specifications:
Kynar Aquatec® PVDF resin-based coatings can meet AAMA 615, 625 and 2605 standards. In the field, they meet the new SSPC Paint 47 standard.
Weathering and Durability:
Kynar Aquatec® PVDF resin-based coatings have been on exposure in the demanding South Florida sun for over 20 years. These coatings are performing similarly to traditional Kynar 500® resin-based coatings.
